Met In College. We met on the campus of Savannah State University in 2008. Throughout our college career, we both were involved in Student Government Association (SGA). As Junior Class President and Miss Senior, we both found ourselves involved in campus politics. Though we didn’t begin a friendship immediately we both respected each others roles on campus. As time moved on and graduations came and went we found ourselves living 8-10 hours apart.
Reconnected in Savannah. While on a short trip to the low country, we found ourselves in the same place at the same time. We talked, reconnected and exchange numbers before we went our separate ways for the evening. The next day, before the trip back to Washington, D.C., we made sure to see each other off and have one last hug.
Started Dating. After three years of phone calls and holiday meet ups, we decided to make it official. We began our long distance relationship in January of 2018. It was not long after that we began our adventures around the world, all while creating memories that would last a lifetime. We coined our travels as the “Adventures of Mal & Mone”.
Got Engaged. Christmas Eve 2021. We spent the holiday celebrating our first official step to marriage. We enjoyed time with family and most of all time with each other. We soon began sharing ideas and planning for the biggest day of our lives.
